icon card sort
test design With direction from my manager, Laura Ballay, and my co-worker, Zaheen Somani I wrote a test plan for a card sort of over 70 of Sage Software's icons. This plan included the script to be read to each participant throughout the test and a questionnaire administered afterward. recruiting Zaheen and I recruited ten test participants for our sample. testing Testing took place over the course of a week. The sessions were audio recorded with one facilitator, one note taker and one observer. Individuals from other departments within Sage Software came in to observe the testing. Our script encouraged participants to think aloud while performing the card sort. analysis I described the results of our analysis in a 35 page test report. I presented the results of the report with Zaheen in a presentation I created. The presentation was delivered to representatives from many departments within Sage Software. The report and all the raw data is now a company asset that is referred to by Sage Software employees all over the world. |
